are on the internet all sorts of
acrylic art – with different
suppliers give them their own names
it can be confusing and often misleading
so here’s what our acrylic
is all about. . |
| 1.
Acrylic Sandwich –
this is a print, normally on photographic
paper, placed between two sheets
of Acrylic. These generally look
much like a posh version of a clip
frame. It is suitable for all types
of photography and can be displayed
on darker or patterned walls. Our
version is the Strata. |

Bonded, backed , Photo print Acrylic
– It’s not always advertised
as this , but it is what 85% of
internet companies have on offer
, including Tesco’s - this
is when a photograph is printed
onto one product (usually photo
paper) and its glued onto the back
of the acrylic panel. It suits all
types of photography , doesn’t
require a lot of specialist equipment
to assemble and if you really don’t
want to have the full effect of
transparency from the acrylic because
you have e.g. dark walls or you
want to have a solid white section
in your print then it is ideal for
you . The backing doesn’t
spoil the look and sparkle of the
edges of the acrylic panel so you
retain most of the benefits of choosing

Digital or Direct Print Acrylic
- This is, in our view, the perfect
choice for this modern media. It
really gives your photos that extra
wow factor! It does require specialist
printers and equipment to produce
.The results will be striking and
provide a real talking point for
visitors seeing it in your home
or office! Your photo or design
is printed straight onto the reverse
of a polished panel of Acrylic with
UV cured inks. As the printer does
not produce white ink (just like
your printer at home or work –
it’s the paper that is white!)
any area that is 100% white in your
photo will be left translucent,
almost see through - like stained
glass. This method of acrylic print
is perfect for strong contrasting
black & white photography, modern
designs, vector illustrations, and
any good quality photograph. It
is best displayed on plain white
or very pale coloured wall. With
good light the print will cast coloured
shadows and reflections in almost
3D behind the panel. These factors
combine to make this product the
hottest designer’s choice
